Nov 02, 2010Hopefully this answers your burning questions about the Red Box. Now stand back as I go through the complex process of rating it. On the one hand it is a very nice introduction to D&D for people who have never played it before, on the other hand it is a very nice introduction ONLY for people who have never played it before. For an experienced player like me there is nothing in the Red Box that is necessary or even all that appealing, but I could see myself handing the Player book to someone who always wanted to check D&D out. I think in the end my rating for it will land somewhere in the middle. The Red Box is a stellar gaming product that is largely irrelevant to current gamers. 3 stars. Read Full Review
