Aug 02, 2011Camille Chameleon and the Beagle Boys manage to slip past Scrooge and his crew, leaving them free to return the Candy-Striped Ruby to King Fulla Cola. But all is not well John Rockerduck is well ahead of Scrooge in his efforts to return artifacts to their original owners, and the efforts to stop him grow more and more intense. The ludicrous premise of this storyline aside, the construction is all right. Warren Spector hastaken the Scrooge vs. an Adversary formula and put it to good use, although the inversion of the formula still feels severely out of character for Scrooge and Rockerduck alike. (Rockerduck, of course, being the bad guy, is allowed to have other tricks up his sleeve.) The most interesting bits of this issue are the hints dropped about Launchpad playing double-duty with the Darkwing Duck comic book. We know theres a crossover between the two titles coming up and we also know that will likely be the swan song for Disney properties at Boom! Studios. Its a shame, its been Read Full Review
