Despite its problems, Big Hero 6 isn't a total waste. The character of Hiro, who feels like the Japanese equivalent of Peter Parker, is both likable and interesting enough to carry the book for its five issue run. I also like the idea of using the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki as the genesis of sorts for an elevated moral code amongst Japanese superheroes. I'm fairly intrigued to see where Claremont goes with this story, if for no other reason, than to see how one of the great X-Men scribes of all times handles such a playful, youthful product.
