  The Holy Awesome is a comic full of great potential, that works really well on a few different levels. What it lacks in traditional comic art it makes up for with ingenious and, dare I say, brave design choices that not only fit well into the context of the overall story being told, but also adds subtle philosophical notes to the book. Ish #2 is definitely a step up from issue #1 of The Holy Awesome, but there's still a depth to the storytelling missing. This is most likely due to the fact that book is limited to only 3 issues, but the fact that I want to see more is only a statement to the book's quality. Read Full Review
