THE SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN #5 delivers three entertaining tales of Conan's adventures as he battles witches, sea monsters, and deadly thieves. Jason Aaron's tale of woe takes up the lion's share of the issue for a double-sized adventure that looks as great as it reads, and the shorter stories from Jim Zub and Michael Kogge are excellent. Another great issue with legend Jason Aaron writing the main story. This story takes place when Conan was King and doesn't disappoint. The artwork goes great with this kind of tale.I would highly recommend this to all comic readers.

I love the format of Savage Sword of Conan. The magazine format is perfect for this type of storytelling. The art in this issue is really good. The story by Aaron is not all that original, it is kind of run of the mill. Seems like this story should have been a Solomon Kane story rather than a Conan one. I will be back for part 2 and beyond, however.
