reMIND: The Complete Saga (2026)

From award-winning graphic novelist and former DreamWorks Animation artist Jason Brubaker—known for his work on Kung Fu Panda 2, Kung Fu Panda 3, The Croods, and Captain Underpants—comes reMIND: The Complete Saga.

This beautifully produced deluxe graphic novel collects the beloved all-ages sci-fi webcomic adventure into one stunning oversized volume, featuring brand-new cover art and exclusive bonus material.

Sonja is a lighthouse keeper, a gifted mechanic, and an inventor. She lives a quiet life on a remote island with her cat, Victuals. When Victuals vanishes without explanation and then unexpectedly returns, something has changed. The cat now carries the brain of a strange, intelligent lizard-creature from a hidden underwater kingdom.

What follows is a mystery that spirals from the intimate - a girl trying to understand what happened to her companion - into something far larger: a conflict involving brain transplantation experiments, an ancient civilization of lizard-men living beneath the sea, and the dangerous ambitions of those who wield unchecked power. Sonja must navigate a world she didn’t know existed, protect the people she loves, and confront questions about faith, loyalty, and what it means to truly know someone.

reMIND was created by Jason Brubaker during his time as a Visual Development Artist at DreamWorks Animation, where he worked on films such as Kung Fu Panda 2, Kung Fu Panda 3, The Croods, and Captain Underpants.

The graphic novel originally launched as a webcomic in 2009, quickly drawing an audience of over a million readers thanks to its richly detailed, animation-quality artwork and emotionally engaging storytelling. reMIND: The Complete Saga brings the full story together in a single volume for the first time, presented as an oversized deluxe hardcover. This edition also features exclusive behind-the-scenes material, showcasing Brubaker’s creative process—from early thumbnails and layouts to pencils, inks, and final color work.

The project has earned significant recognition, including the Xeric Award in 2010, a place on the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) Great Graphic Novels for Teens list in 2012, and an Eisner Award nomination in 2020 for Macroverse’s TapStory digital adaptation. more
