  The Forever War in its graphic novel form made a bit impact on me during my younger days and I've revisited this in its trade form over the years. Digging into it once again at this point in my life, and at the nature of the world as it is today, is definitely intriguing. Some things continue to remain the same and that's no surprise while other aspects of the book are a bit more dated, albeit they're things that aren't delved into too deeply so that it doesn't impact it too much. Haldeman's story is importand and Marvano brings it to life beautifully here with his artwork and presentation. This is a series that you can easily see being done by a lot of top talent this days, reminding me of how the Pax Romana series for example is handled with its mix of text and artwork, and I'd love to see a new incarnation of this brought to life even as I adore Marvano's adaptation. Good stuff here to expose a new generation to if they're willing to take a chance. Read Full Review

  The answer to my initial question, "can Titan deliver a pulse pounding, intense tale?", Yes they can. Iam on board for the retelling of the 1988 Belgian graphic novel, of the same name, by Joe Haldeman and Marvano. Should you enjoy this book as much as I, there has been a modest amount of chatter about the possibility that this story may be adapted to a live-action movie. Big names like Ridley Scott, and Channing Tatum have been attached to this project however, it seems the project can not sustain itselfand has typically stalled with every attempt. Read Full Review

  Not only does THE FOREVER WAR #1 present a compelling beginning to a gritty science fiction story, but it does so with nuance. The layers of meaning to THE FOREVER WAR #1 make it's narrative just as relevant as ever. For both those who have read the source material and those who have not, THE FOREVER WAR #1 is definitely worth your time both as a fictional story and as an allegory for the futility of war.   Titan Comics begins its serialized version of the 1988 graphic novel adaptation of Joe Haldeman's science fiction novel The Forever War - a military-in-space tale, featuring outstanding artwork by Marvano - promisingly.
