Doctor Who: Four Doctors #4

Doctor Who: Four Doctors 4 does everything right. The art and the writing come together to craft an excellent story that manages to make me feel genuinely concerned about the characters and their chance to win. It also throws many of the events that occurred in the previous three issues into a new light, adding depth and richness to an already deep and rich story. I am going to be so sad to see this creative team go once issue five hits, but I tend to be greedy when it comes to good comics. Read Full Review

Doctor Who: Four Doctors has certainly proven itself to be a worthy event, with the dramatic narrative and clever dialogue allowing for an immersive atmosphere. This issue also gives us some intriguing twists as our Doctors are faced with a rather unique threat. Read Full Review

The story is sharp and engaging, with a particularly killer moment in the final third that will catch your breath. Were heading into the series finale on an absolute high and Cornell has used this fourth issue to sow the seeds of a united front; itll be interesting to see how that front explodes to combat this latest threat to the universe. The issue itself does use a lot of exposition, yet is counterbalanced strongly with the action sequences which allows for a quick read. Cornell, Edwards and Nunes work together incredibly well to continue to give us an excellent multi-Doctor story that should be worth a look into for anyone who isnt up to date on it already. On balance, as good an issue as there has been. Some talking, some action, some exposition, more action, all the ingredients we expect from Dr Who. We are getting a master class from both Paul Cornell the professional writer, and Paul Cornell the Dr Who fan of many years standing. Read Full Review

Finally, the damn story kicked in. As complicated as the mechanics are, it was well told, clear to understand, and very entertaining. Best issue of the series, right before the last one.
