  Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal

  I wish that I had the third issue to read this very moment. In fact I wish I could just read the entire series right now it's that addicting of a story. The reveals in this issue are great and only leave you wanting more questions answered. If you missed the first issue then you should kick yourself because it's one of the best series of the year.   We are only in the second issue of six and Nero/Dowling are rapidly making me lose interest in any other comic this year. Yet again they receive top marks for twisted storytelling of the first degree. Read Full Review

  I'm guessing Titan Comics may be tough to get off the rack in some comics shops that tend to stick to the super-heroes, but it's worth asking your story to order it special for you. I think I know how it's going to end and I'm enjoying the journey that we're on as we learn more about the lead characters. Read Full Review

  Geeks Unleashed - Mark Brassington

  Monty Nero and Mike Dowling have created a very realistic, dark and gritty world where the G-Plus virus could exist and people could develop superpowers. Many people have tried to create realistic worlds like this before but none have come as close as Nero and Dowling. Without Dowling's art you wouldn't have Death Sentence. He's added the sauce to the pasta (so to speak) and brought this comic to life and well the colours are the cheese on top. With each character and setting the colours are adjusted to really bring it home that we're following three different stories. Read Full Review

  Death Sentence #2 introduced a lot of new plot developments; the many exciting additions can scarcely be covered in a single review. However, there are many interesting new mysteries that have been presented this month involving a secret island, a clandestine group of G+ tracking agents, and an assortment of other story goodies. This series is really living up to its potential to do something different while maintaining a sense of depth and subtle sophistication. Read Full Review

  Major Spoilers - Chris Wilson

  I had problems with Death Sentence's debut issue. The concept is wonderful but I didn't like the characters and some of the art didn't click. This issue improves in almost every way, showing why we should care for the characters (excluding Monty), provides a gripping cliffhanger and the art has wonderful action and detail. Where I was on the fence about picking up this issue, I'm now sure I'll be checking out the third. Death Sentence #2 earns 4 out of 5 stars. Read Full Review
