In Tokyo, Private Eye and ex-marine, MEAD has been hired by Madame Nomura, matriacrch of a powerful Yakuza clan, to investigate the murder of her two daughters.

Meanwhile, Mead’s partner STIX – an ex-combat model Replicant has been recruited by a corporation called Cheshire to guard three of its most valuable scientists who are working to manufacture bootleg Replicants. The Tyrell Corporation on learning of Cheshire’s ambitions have dispatched a Blade Runner called Rumika to destroy the Cheshire facility.
