Drugs. Vampires. Punk rock. Clawing her way to her 90th day sober, Kayla sets out to find her missing friend, Sid - the one person she knows can keep her on the straight-andnarrow. The only problem? The gang of heroine-dealing vampires that have him. From the writer of 2019's breakout indie hit Dead End Kids comes a story of a young woman's recovery journey and one hard truth: not everyone is cut out to be a hero.

Apr 01, 2020In fact, this is the best time to dive into this book as the world is going through these crazy times, and I have to admit, I'm thankful that creators like Frank are not letting this series of events hold them back from continuing to create new stories and characters that we can all enjoy. May 21, 2020No Heroine #1is a phenomenal debut issue. It's fierce, it's vulnerable, and it's definitely here to challenge preconceived notions of the genre and who Kayla should be. Read Full Review

Jun 05, 2020The entire team for No Heroine #1 have put something beautiful together. A first issue that takes a serious look at what drugs can do to a person's life. That is a powerful thing to accomplish, especially in today's society. Add punk rock and vampires, as well as some adventure into the mix, and the end result is a comic that promises excitement as people come along on Kayla Strong's journey. Read Full Review

Apr 28, 2020Madds artwork is killer, pun intended. The design work, the action scenes, the death scenes- its all so epically done. Gogol has crafted a tale of someone I want to root for, even though Kayla isnt even sure where her path goes from here. Vampire stories are, for the most part, incredible in my eyes, and No Heroine is absolutely incredible. Yet its the humanity, the journey of Kaylas redemption, that really has me hooked. No Heroine #1 has action, a great story, and zero sparkling vampires: thats a win-win no matter how you look at it. Make sure to contact your local comic book shop and reserve yours today! Geek'd Out - Josh Rose
May 22, 2020No Heroine #1 is a classic monster slaying comic with a punk flair. Also, it's a wonder that drug dealing vampires haven't made more appearances in pop culture since their acolytesdo display addictive tendencies. And, of course, no vampire book would be complete without some light fun being made at the expense of the Twilight series. Read Full Review

Apr 11, 2020No Heroine #1 (Gogol, Madd, Madd) asks the question, "What if Buffy was a recovering heroin addict?" and lets the sparks fly from there! A wonderful, engaging self-published work, this comic and its creators deserve your attention! Read Full Review

May 24, 2020No Heroine gives new hope for Kayla as she embarks on a new and terrifying chapter in her life. There's still some work to be done in developing her as a character and fleshing out this world, but there's more than enough to grab onto here. There are some great concepts introduced and I'm eager to see how the creators play with them in subsequent issues. Read Full Review

Graphic Policy - Brett
Jul 22, 2020No Heroine #1 has a lot of good concepts and ideas but the most interesting aspects of the comic are left to the side. We get a fairly cookie-cutter story of a heroine who can kick vampire ass. There's potential in even that but by the end of the comic we're left with a story that feels like it's been done and nothing to make it really stand out from the (vampire) pack. Read Full Review
