The Samson Brothers Circus is thriving, but the traveling performers aren't able to enjoy it, as the mysterious mutations causing their popularity have also claimed their first victim. In the midst of it all, sisters Kat and Anna are at odds -- Kat pines for her lost love, but Anna still holds to secrecy as she investigates the identity of Kat's unknown murderer.
