Aug 08, 2018This was a book I knew nothing about walking into it and I left feeling motivated to pick up the next one. The writing and art compliment each other in a way that few comics do, letting the plot be driven by the characters hunting and being hunted by an oncoming threat. The most important thing, though, was that I can wholeheartedly recommend this book, even to those who have not read the first because of the skill in writing. If this keeps pace, I can guarantee that even a newcomer to this story will have a good time. Read Full Review

Aug 22, 2018Shadow Roads is going deep on lore with this second issue. Writers Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt greatly expand this world filled with monsters and supernatural beings. This continues to establish the rules and mythos of this land and I'm eating it up. This, coupled with compelling character development and amazing artwork, makes Shadow Roads a solid read. Aug 29, 2018Shadow Roads #2 is slightly slower than the previous issue, giving us a chance to get to know some of the characters and their backstories. Although the large cast means that a few are missed out, and there is a fair bit of exposition, we do learn more about the supernatural lore at play, and further story threads are set up. Issue #3 should be very interesting! Read Full Review
