Painkiller Jane #1, "The Price of Freedom" is a solid enough start for this mini-series. It's an enjoyable, action packed story that will appeal to the older fans but offers enough to help ease in newcomers as well. It may have not been the best comic I read this week, but it was worth my time for sure. Definitely check this out if you are looking for something action filled this week. Read Full Review

Painkiller Jane is worth your god damn time because she didnt go through all this shit to get ignored by some punks. Really though, she is inspiring in the way she moves on with life. She doesnt necessarily cut out her past, but she seems to mostly focus on the positive things in her life. Especially the relationship she still has that connects her to said past life. Im looking forward to the 2nd issue. Read Full Review

Panekiller Jane seems straightforward enough. Tough women that play outside the rules and have a bit of a bad attitude, but that's perfectly fine when the execution is done well. This comic lays down the basics for what looks to be a promising series of action, adventure and good entertainment all the way around. I recommend checking this out. Read Full Review

Given the limitations outlined above, it's kind of hard to recommend this to anyone except perhaps those looking for a snarling, bad-tempered version ofDanger Girl. But it's a solid choice for that rarified subgroup. Read Full Review

While Painkiller Jane is an interesting enough character and the idea of a cool buddy cop book starring two ladies is certainly appealing, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. So far there's just nothing particularly sharp, funny, or original in "Painkiller Jane: The Price of Freedom." Read Full Review
