    The Weekly Crisis - Ryan Schrodt

    Young Allies comes to a close with this issue and it's a damn shame. This issue is a great example of the complexity and depth behind the concept of a "team that isn't a team" that Sean McKeever and David Baldeon have been building over the last six issues. The craftsmanship here is as superb as ever; I'm glad to see the series go out on a strong note. It's just a shame that Marvel's readership can support umpteen Deadpool and Avengers books, but couldn't find a place for this one on their pull lists! Hopefully the upcoming Read Full Review

    It's nice to read a book that's actually about something. That said, McKeever doesn't forget that superheroes entertain with superpowers and stopping crime. The deeper bits of writing surge under the heroics to fortify the entirety. Read Full Review

    This particular issue was good. Hell, I'd go so far as to say that it was really good. I'm a sucker for the old New Warriors characters, so the fact that this issue focused on Firestar was fine by me. Her conversation with Emma Frost was well done, and I was enjoying the little relationship that was beginning to form between her and Gravity. But I guess that's all moot now. Read Full Review
