As Xavier begins to wake up from his neural adventure through time, tension is at a high among the group. The presence of Magneto has done nothing to calm the situation. A single spark then ignites a furious battle between Frenzy and Karima!

    I realize a lot of people feel cheated about Professor X's supposed death in Messiah Complex (I know I was), but the way Mike Carey's built this story around him is nothing short of excellent. And in the end, that's what really counts. Read Full Review

    All in all, there isn't much to complain about here. While the first two issues have suffered slightly in the pacing department, the title's approachable insightfulness more than makes up for its relative lack of progression. The title has undeniably backed away from the type of accessible storyline geared for the casual reader, and it's this refocusing on the hardcore X-Men fan that gives it a distinct direction for the first time in many years.     The cliffhanger promises an Exodus vs. Xavier psychic battle that has whet my appetite for the next issue " Charles has hit rock bottom in the eyes of a lot of people over the last few years, so it's nice to think that he's going to get a chance to start clawing back some dignity. A Professor Xavier solo book could've been the worst idea ever, but somehow, Carey is managing to pull it off. Read Full Review
