X-MEN BLUE #25 is exactly what this series needed to return to its former glory. It's action packed but is still able to focus on the larger plot. It has a lot of characters but it avoids confusion. It may be different than what readers signed up for with issue #1, but that's what comics do: they change. And in this case, change is good. Read Full Review

There is certain classic X-Men feel with the mothervine threat that is at the center of this story arc. The characters involved make it feel like it is going for nostalgia, but more recent than the nineties era that we have been seeing here and in other X books recently. The thing that I could not get into was the motivations for the various characters both heroes and villains. Some are better excepted than others but I still found it hard to picture the teams coming together as they do. Another annoyance is every writing and artist teams need to make Sentinels their own by changing them. The miniature version seemed impractical and there simply to be different. There is still some fun to be had. Magneto is given a moment to shine. The new blue team is given a chance to interact briefly. The art tries to do some interesting things. The lines had some unusual proportions and shots at times. The colors could have done more with the use of shadows. It still did a pretty good job and did well to portray what was happening. The backup original X-Men story seemed a bit like an afterthought. The art did not always have the best shots and felt a little off. The team did not have the emotion of just losing a teammate on their faces. Scott's anger of Hank was not there. The colors felt a bit flat. It did set up an interesting thread to keep an eye on though. Hopefully you do not pick this up as your first issue in the series because there is no editorial notes to give you context as everything introduced. This is an okay issue but nothing that is going to excite you if you are not already reading the series. more

Another very good issue, but I wasn't fully ready to see the Original X-men once more in it. And in so much page. I really liked Magneto part (Even if I think it was dumb of him to use motherverine formula). I really like all the part about Polaris & doctor Raleig is really weird. Also I'm a little sad for Danger. Cover - Really nice but not really in link. Ok this team is show, but they are not in mission yet. 1/2 Writing - All the part with magneto & the all new blue x-men is very good. I don't care about the original anymore ! 2/3 Arts - The art is awesome ... I love the new outfit of Magneto ! 3/3 Feeling - I want more of the team in the cover and less of the original ! 1/2

Magneto gets in a big tough fight and the new b-team comes together nicely. The Lost in Space squad gets a rather superfluous b-story. I like the way this title's main plot is coming together, though Magneto's confrontation takes a lot of pages to develop into a proper zappy fight. The art for both sections is slightly underwhelming - not actually bad at storytelling, but it feels like a great deal less than the full potential of the artists.
