Apr 21, 2014The world needs X-Force and more than that, the members of X-Force need X-Force. Betsy Braddock has a problem but yet, she can't bear to stay away. Nathan Summers has nothing but the mission so he channels his focus through X-Force. Marrow doesn't have anywhere else to go but she has found a calling and place along side her own kind helping her people. The X-Men line has always been a place where writers and artists can tell a wide range of stories about a myriad of human behavior through the lens of superhero action. X-Force may, on the surface, just appear to be about a bunch of grunts cutting a bloody swath through the enemies of mutantkind, but if you are willing to dig a bit deeper, its about much, much more. I dropped this book after #2, but picked up #3 during a random visit to my LCS. I wish I hadn't. Marrow has insufferably terrible dialogue that isn't true to any way she's spoken in the past. MeMe--is this a joke character? It's a terrible book and I really wish the other two X-Force books still existed.

This issue was insanely boring and Marrow's dialogue was so annoying it gave me a headache. The artwork would have been ok if anything actually happened. There should have been a huge fight scene with all the escaped mutants, but Psylocke knocks them all out. The members of X-Force awaken to a lecture from Betsy... and this, my friends, is why I loathe psychics in comic books. There is no preview for the next issue, but a huge ad for some Marvel swag on the last page. Disappointing.
