    So like I said, it was a pretty solid issue. Polaris is too minor and underdeveloped a character for this to have any real emotional impact, but everyone else plays their parts well. It's always fun to see the members of X-Factor interacting. Plus the art is still top notch. X-Factor has been doing pretty good with artists lately. Read Full Review

    "X-Factor" #243's overall story feels a little forced, both in terms of Polaris's origin as well as so many members departing in such a short time period. But it's still turning out fun to read, and nice to look at. I'm willing to put up with a bit of clich if it means the end result is entertaining. Read Full Review

    There are bound to be missteps in any great series, and this is, unfortunately, a misstep for X-Factor. The issue is clearly a transition towards greater things to come, but everything feels so forced and inconsequential right now. We get some explanation as to why Polaris has always acted a little different than everyone else, and David includes a healthy dose of his slick dialog. However, the shortcomings outweigh the achievements in this book. Read Full Review
