Wolverine #16

At the risk of possibly jinxing it, I will say that this issue was incredibly good. There was an actual story. The plot moved itself along at a very nice pace. Um, that's it? After all of the awesomeness that was the first 15 issues of this series, with Wolvie going to Hell, being tormented by the Red Right Hand, killing his bastard children and leaving society, THIS was how he returned? Daredevil at least went on a journey of self-discovery that lasted an entire story arc, but Wolverine could not be bothered to take more than one issue for some self-reflection time. It is bad enough that Wolverine does not seem to care about his murderous lifestyle, but what makes it the worst is how two dozen of his teammates show up with awkward smiles on their faces to remind him they still have his back. I guess that is believable so long as none of them open the door to that cabin and see a pile of men who were just stabbed to death. Read Full Review
