  (Cover Date: September, 1987) Summary: Dominus shows Sunstroke his Master Machine, which is used to conquer worlds by inhibiting the wills of its inhabitants. He tells him of the failures of his predecessor, Lucifer. The WCA's enter the cave to Dominus' base & are attacked by the Desert Dwellers, whom they rout. When they enter the Master Machine, they are hit by brain blasts, which sap their wills, except for Moon Knight, due to his split personalities. Moon Knight subdues the shocked Dominus, who is controlled by the Master Machine. The Master Machine begins to shake itself, not understanding why it failed. The WCA's escape outside the cave & see Dominus' base rocketing into the sky. Iron Man, Wonder Man & Espirita follow in pursuit. W hen Wonder Man's jets fail, Iron Man is forced to catch him. The two get into an argument whether he needed to be saved, since Wonder Man considers himself to be invulnerable. Back at the WCA's compound, Wonder Man's producer's assistant asks him where he's been since his movie is coming out soon. The assistant tells him that his fans hate his costume, so he needs to change it. After telling the others to mind their own business, Wonder Man wonders whether he should leave the Avengers. more
