(Cover Date: July, 1987) Summary: PP travels to California to retrieve his clothes & ID hidden in the Statue of Liberty's torch, which is being refurbished there. He runs into a gang of "avocado rebels" who plan to steal the torch to make a political statement. However, the leader of the gang drives away with it, intending to sell it for millions instead, & Spidey follows in hot pursuit.
