  Comic books thrive on multiple interrelated storylines. With the right finesse, theres no reason to think that this might not be the first of many.  Warhammer 40K has great potential for an entire sub-universe of comics, the size of which could well rival the rest of Marvels line. Space Marines are but a small component of a universe also inhabited by the forces of chaos, Space Orks, Necrons, Eldars, and more. The quality of the first issue of Calgars series makes a strong case for Marvel venturing into further titles with Games Workshop in the future.  Read Full Review

  This is an interesting entry point for new readers curious about the famous and decades-old universe based on the miniature war game. If you like sci-fi or fantasy, you'll be fascinated with 'Warhammer 40,000: Marneus Calgar' for its complicated world. At its core, this is a story about Marneus Calgar and how a hopeful teenager became a chiseled war veteran.   As a long time player who has gone deep into game rulebooks and elsewhere I was quite happy with Warhammer 40,000: Marneus Calgar #1. The comic had more than enough new to me and feels like it'd be a solid introduction for those new to the world. There's a lot packed in and done so in a way that's not overwhelming and natural. This is one that's solid sci-fi military action with a bit more depth and thought than we've seen from previous volumes. Read Full Review

  Im ecstatic that Warhammer has come to Marvel. Warhammer has fantastic lore that is loved by millions the world over. This first issue in this mini-series is a fabulous start to what I hope is the start of many more series to come.
