(Cover Date: March, 1988) Summary: The X-Men find themselves in the middle of a fight between the NVA & demons & join the fight against the demons. Madelyne sees a younger Forge, the lone survivor of his squad, who has called forth the demons. Forge then calls for a bombing strike to wipe out the demons. The team uses Longshot's power to breech the maelstrom surrounding the Roma's floating citadel. After being freed, Forge uses the soulforces of the X-Men to send the Adversary away through a portal, presumably permanently. In her citadel, Roma restores the X-Men to life. Roma states that Forge's spell was not allowed to be permanent, as he had thought, since from primal chaos comes needed change & growth.
