While headed to an island for their honeymoon, Madelynne's & Scott's seaplane goes down in the Pacific after being hit by lightning. While working on repairs, they are attacked by a giant squid. Callisto talks to Caliban about Kitty breaking her promise to him. Wolverine visits Mariko in Japan whose mind has been cleared of Mastermind's influence but she still won't marry him. Val Cooper proposes to Gyrich the formation of a mutant team to combat the X-Men. (Cover date: December, 1983)
