Uncanny Inhumans Annual #1

The problem here isn't with the writing or the art, since both work well enough and it's great seeing a story covering a topical issue with diverse characters. Unfortunately, the story itself is formulaic, right down to the completely predictable ending. Add to that how just a handful of extra pages more than usual is now considered an annual, and it becomes questionable whether it's worth buying this issue. While it's still hard at times not to compare the Inhumans to another marginalized group of x-ceptional individuals, the continued push to establish the Nuhumans as people first, heroes second, continues to pay off. Read Full Review

While I've never been a big Inhumans fan, this was a pretty enjoyable issue centering around Grid and his time in his homeland. The art looked great and this book could have big implications moving forward. Read Full Review

I enjoyed the issue but i expected something more shocking and weird to happen than what I read. Overall it was good but it could have been much better.

Nice little self-contained story that would have fit perfectly in 1988's "Wild Cards: Aces Abroad" anthology.
