This is an issue that will probably appeal most to those readers who like their superhero comics to provide shocking surprises and unexpected deaths at every turn, and/or those who enjoy action-packed and highly detailed artwork. It's a dumb but intricately-drawn book that feels like a throwback to the bad old days of the 1990s, and whilst I'm sure there are readers out there who still enjoy that kind of thing, I'm personally sad to see the Ultimate Universe go out in so undignified a fashion. Ultimatum #4 was yet another horrible issue of what has quickly become the worst series I have read. And I have read the 90's Clone Saga. Just like how people hold up traffic to see how bad a crash is, the only reason I have to get the last issue of this series is that I just want to see how this trainwreck of a series will end. At least we'll have Finch's great art to look at. Read Full Review

It's fair to say that despite my best hopes, I didn't like this comic much at all. The best thing I can say about "Ultimatum"? With only one issue to go, well, at least the end will be with us soon. That's something we can all be pleased with. Read Full Review

Many readers have complained about how the Ultimate Universe has lost its way in the past few years. I don't necessarily disagree with them, but all the franchise ever needed was fewer and better stories. Ultimatum falls about as far from that mark as humanly possible. Read Full Review

I'm serious when I say, that there is no point in Marvel releasing theconclusionto this mini. It is a waste all-around. Just move on with Bendis and Millar and their new Ultimate Comics projects and pretend this whole sordid affair never happened.
