In fact if nothing else this issue felt like a bid to recapture the emotional impact of that memorable issue, rather than one that carved its own path. However, there's some solid moments in this issue, from the exchange where Peter explains the sorry state of his face to Aunt May, to the closing scene where Doctor Octopus is on hand to watch his arms being melted down, and one has to love Nick Fury's final line to the guard.
