Notably absent from this book is the opening page that explains what's happened in previous issues. I'm not sure why it was omitted, but it would have been a welcome addition considering how this book has been delayed for months! Otherwise, this is the best issue of Thor yet. Read Full Review

What a difference an issue can make. In the past, despite my enjoyment of the series, I found myself secretly wishing a different writer would take over Thor - and soon. I didn't think an issue where so little happened could be so good. Eventually the book will have to deliver some kind of plot progression or conflict, but if it stays like this for a little while, I won't be complaining, either. Read Full Review

Thor #6 was another fine read. JMS has truly found his home on this title. If you like grand tales delivered in the proper dramatic fashion then you will certainly enjoy Thor. If you enjoy fantasy themed stories then you should definitely give Thor a try. However, readers who enjoy a bit more action and faster pacing may not enjoy this title all that much. I like Coipels work and how he draws town folks and Asgardians. They are flip coins of each other and the scene where they interact in the city hall, reminds me of some of the warmer slice of life paintings from early Dutch Renaissance painters. All go about their businesses, with red cheeks, filled stomachs and simple candour. I wish more comic books made me feel this good about knowing art history! Read Full Review

This issue had everything. Some genuinely funny moments that made me chuckle. Some truly epic moments. Great art. Loved every part of it
