  I expect many readers are like myself in that when we got our first look at the Thor of the future one couldn't help but notice he was missing one of his arms, and was sporting an eye patch, and with this in mind I couldn't help but be disappointed that Dan Jurgens decided to have this big battle take place off panel. Now I've come to recognize that I enjoy the comic book slugfest more than most fans my age, and in part this may be my way of clinging to the last vestiges of my childhood, but I'm sure I'm not the only reader who was annoyed to turn the page to discover the big brawl had taken place off panel. It doesn't exactly help matters much that the material that eats up the opening seven pages of this issue is hardly critical to the advancement of the plot, as basically the characters are standing around doing little more than reaffirming their positions in the story, which in my mind have already been well established.
