Thor accepts his punishment at the hands of Odin following his descent into Warrior Madness. As penance, Thor is forbidden from defending Midgard! What will happen to Earth without a god to defend it? Enter Balder the Brave, the new protector of mortals! But before Balder can say "Yggdrasil", he must fend off the combined evil of Loki and Karnilla!

(Cover Date: August, 1969) Summary: For being overcome by Warrior Madness, Odin sentences Thor to not return to Asgard until he finds Galactus. Balder goes to Earth to take Thor's place as its protector. Balder is struck down by Loki upon his arrival. Thor returns to Earth before he departs on his mission. Thor finds Balder in the hospital. When he transforms into Don Blake, Loki takes away his cane. However, an angry Odin intervenes & sends Loki away sans the cane. Meanwhile, Galactus has fed on another world & has been found by the Odin Eye. After Blake successfully operates on Balder, Thor departs for Asgard.
