Weekly Comic Book Review - DS Arsenault

    Jun 02, 2010

The Thanos Imperative is a high-caliber piece of sequential storytelling. Abnett, Lanning, Sepulveda and Ramos have roped me in for issue #2. This is a great book starring some of my favorite Marvel characters. Read Full Review

The Weekly Crisis - Ryan Schrodt

    Jun 04, 2010

I really want to give this issue a Must Read and I'll probably regret holding it back at Buy it, but after seeing what the potential of the art, I can't help but feel that the coloring in this issue was a large enough miss that it drags down the entire issue. Don't get me wrong though, this is still an amazing issue with some awesome action and some of the finest character moments DnA have ever written. You shouldn't miss it, but be warned about the art. Well, another cosmic event has begun and I'm sure it's going to be wild time. If you haven't tried these books, the first page re-cap is very good at bringing you up to speed, so you can jump in with both feet without fear. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Chad Nevett

With a better artist, perhaps one that had handled these characters before, "The Thanos Imperative" #1 would have gotten off to a stronger start. The writing of Abnett and Lanning is bold and confident, but hampered by the muddled, cluttered art. Read Full Review

    Comic Vine - Zack Freeman

As a long time fan of Marvel's cosmic heroes, and Thanos specifically, I get special satisfaction seeing all these character get their due in such an epic fashion. However, seeing as this story already has so many characters already, it'd preferred it focus had been kept on the cosmic characters and not been muddied by the (poorly named) Cancerverse's Revengers. And I really wish this was inked! Read Full Review

    Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson

    Jun 05, 2010

Still, even with that weakness, its a rip-roaring adventure tale, with some nice moments in it, as well as a lot of awesome character work the likes of which we dont usually get in a giant sprawling tale. The Thanos Imperative #1 does a lot of good things well, and even the flaws arent overwhelming enough to throw you out of the tale Thats a rarity in and of itself. Read Full Review
