Thanos #8

Every issue of THANOS so far has been perfectly delivered from beginning to end, and #8 is no exception. However it all ends, you can be sure of one thing. No, it's not a Starfox/Thanos buddy-cop title. If he's got his sight set on power, we are probably going to be looking at an all new, even more kick-ass Thanos REAL soon. Read Full Review

After last issue which was almost silent, this issue gets back to the dialogue that made this story great. We have been on quite the ride following Thanos' fall. Will he survive? The ending makes me want the next issue, the art was fantastic. I love what Jeff Lemire has done so far.

Thanos easily takes charge of thwarting his son and hitches a ride to see "the "Witches of Infinity" about regaining godly power. There's something lazy and throwback-ish about the way Jeff Lemire scripts this. Maybe it's the speaking-directly-to-the-reader narration or the shallow dialogue or the golly-how-convenient way the plot evolves - this definitely feels like less than the author's best effort. Germán Peralta's art helps keep things entertaining, particularly by distorting things crazily when Thanos jumps through a black hole.
