This feels like the final issue of Thanos, which is an odd sensation considering that it will continue with a new storyline. Jeff Lemire goes out of his way to wrap up most of this book's major storylines and subplots. But most importantly, Lemire gives us a Thanos who is unrepentant about who and what he is. Thanos is another great series be Lemire. I was so impressed with his Moon Knight run that I started picking up the Thanos series when it came out. It has been a ton of fun with really good art. The story while not overly complicated pretty much drives home one point. Thanos will always be Thanos. Some really cool moments and Thanos being a total badass make this book and the series a must read for any fan of the character.

Thanos concludes his latest adventure in a triumphant fashion. Thane's fortunes reverse themselves a bit too abruptly, but otherwise this issue does a stellar job of redeeming the rather pro-forma way the past few issues' scripts have played out. Germán Peralta's visuals conclude the arc nearly as strong as they started, and this ending is exactly the sort of definitive statement on Thanos's character that this story needed.
