There is something down there in the murky depths that man was not meant to see. Something that drives men mad -- or worse. A creature of indescribable power and fury that been waiting for Stein for a long, long time. The legend is true, and it's larger than Stein could have ever imagined.

    Obviously, The Depths isn't for the Brett Rattner/Michael Bay fans of the world, but its lawful presentation should be downright scintillating those who appreciate good genre fiction, or predominately character driven narratives. It's early, granted, but this book has the potential to be the best Mariner story in recent memory, despite the fact that the character has yet to make a prominent appearance. You can either take that as a testament to Peter Milligan's talents as a writer, or to the relative shallowness of Namor's recent usage, but I'm inclined to go with the former. Read Full Review

    This has been a relatively quiet story, building slowly, but steadily towards its conclusion. We still don't know what happened to the missing Captain Marlowe, and honestly, I don't know if we ever will. At this point, it's almost beside the point. The point is the crafting of a seriously creepy and disturbingly effective little horror story. Read Full Review
