  (Cover Date: August, 1987) Summary: Scatterbrain crashes while pacticing with his flight shoes due to a panìc attack by Scaredycat. The team threatens the guards in front of the room that Adept is being held in. She is studying the data downloaded from the Horde ship. Commander Nion orders the guards to let them in. While they are having pizza together, the alarm sounds. Marathon, thought dead, breaks through the door. Marathon tells them how he killed Stark Fist & escaped from the Horde ship. The Horde's Great Elders proclaim that Thundercrush will replace Stark Fist. The alarm goes off for another Horde attack. The team insists that Adept go with them. Nion suffers a heart attack arguing with them. They go to Hershey, PA & engage the Horde. One of them places something in Radian's collar. The Horde then retreats. Radian finds a miniture video cassette while undressing & plays it. It shows the Horde Gentle Inquirer with a member of the Black Watch. He tells Radian that they have found a cure to the early death from the Morituri process & to call the code number on the cassette to parley. Scaredycat tells Radian that she intercepted a communication where the last Morituri scientist is being ordered to stop working on a cure for the early mortality & to work on creating more adepts. Radian decides to call the code number after hearing this. more
