For anyone who wants to understand more about the Dark Side of the Force, and any of its practitioners in the Galactic Empire, this comic is a must. I would also seriously recommend it to people who just love Vader and want to read more about him, because it has an incredibly deep and thoughtful personal focus on the character that I feel was sometimes missing from the previous Darth Vader arcs. Charles Soule and Giuseppe Camuncolis Darth Vader continues to live up to the legacy of Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larrocas left behind. Its character-focused, intense, and fantastically bleak. Its a great book and well worth your time. Give it a try. Read Full Review

Soule does a great job of showcasing Vader's growing confidence in himself and his abilities and the lingering mistrust and resentment he feels toward his new master, all while relying on a minimum of dialogue and exposition. Read Full Review

The Darth Vader series for me is at its best in seeing Vader learning more about himself in this form, the jockeying of position with the Emperor, and seeing more of the Emperor's long term goals coming to light and being put into motion. While there will always be action on some level I hope this series takes on more of a "buddy" series wherein through Vader we see more of the first stages of the Empire and how Palpatine achieves it. The brutality of the Emperor's attack (leaving Vader crippled once more) is a bit unexpected, as is the mission he leaves Vader to face on his own. That said, I am curious to see just how this the Dark Lord of the Sith manages the challenges set before him and returns to his rightful place terrorizing the galaxy. Read Full Review

I'm not a huge fan of Rebels I'm about 2 season behind right now so this issue proved to be quite informative for me. It gave me a good look into how the Inquisitors work and how Vader came to be the leader of them. Its definitely a good issue to read if you're not following Rebels.
