But Why Tho? - Adrian Ruiz

    Mar 10, 2021

SummaryOverall,Star Wars #12is an unexpected issue during all of the fast-paced action and tension from earlier in the series. Writer Soule slows down the story and gives readers some of the best writing I have experienced as a Star Wars fan. Kes and Shara's relationship has always been one of my favorites, with the duo rivaling Leia and Han as the best couple in Star Wars. Star Warsis more than just hokey religions and ancient weapons. Star Wars #12 shows that even in moments of extreme darkness, the relationships between the characters in this universe are what truly bind it together. Read Full Review

    SciFiPulse - Ian Cullen

‘Reflections on the Lost!' does a brilliant job of giving us some backstory for Han Solo, who we'll not see a great deal of in this ongoing series because he is frozen in carbonite and probably mounted on Jabba's wall by now. Charles Soule spins an interesting story, which fills in some character details for Han. But also manages to give us more of a backstory for the Dameron's whose young son Poe has a big future ahead of him. Read Full Review

Rosanas delivers some beautiful art throughout this issue. There are some beautifully detailed moments throughout and the art captures the look and feel of the universe brilliantly even in the small details. Read Full Review

Delivering a charming story with both new and familiar characters offers us a nice respite from the chaos of the current Star Wars storyline, while also adding gravitas to their situation. Read Full Review

This comic is basically a cool down before the next big story arc. For fans of Poe Dameron or his parents, this may be the comic for you. But for anyone looking for an eventful Star Wars comic, then they'll have to wait till the story picks up in the next issue. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - John Edward Lee

The break between battles is over. Shara is aboard an enemy vessel and in need of rescuing. Leia and Starlight Squadron prepare. Meanwhile Luke, Chewie, and the droids are off on a separate mission, and Lando still considers selling rebel secrets. It seems clear that a whole lot of events will come to a head when this story arc ultimately concludes. Read Full Review

Forces Of Geek - Atlee Greene

If someone told me what this issue was about before reading it, I would have left it on the shelf. It's a filler issue with little action and doesn't advance the story arc until the final pages. Charles Soule produced a decent read that amounts to a zero-sum. You can skip this one and not miss a thing. Read Full Review
