The art feels a bit simple at times, with the ancient droid looking a bit too nondescript and Leia not looking quite like herself. But on the whole the characters look great and the action and battles have a kenetic aspect which is tough to achieve on the comic page. This book is a solid entry to a new epic filling in the gaps of a vital era and bringing together some great characters from the larger Star Wars Universe. Read Full Review

I enjoyedStar Wars #10. I would be lying if I said I wasn't counting the days until the next issue. As far as setup issues go, Star Wars #10 provides a lotforward to in Star Wars #11.I only hope that writer Soule is able to continue the threads that were pulled inStar Wars #10to continue the compelling battle of wits between Commander Zahra and the Rebel leaders. This chapter strikes the right balance between embracing familiar dynamics between beloved characters while also exploring new and unseen mythology in the wake of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Read Full Review

It is very hard to tell where this story arc is leading. For a second issue of an arc, it sure does throw a lot of curve balls earlier than usual. However all that build up will have to play out soon in a slow moving, but somehow stimulating story arc. Read Full Review

Star Wars Issue: 10 “Operation Starlight: The Rebel Code” Part II Publisher: @marvel Writer: @charlesdsoule Artist: Jan Bazaldua Colorist: @rachelle_cheri Cover: @thecarlopagulayan , @mjasonpaz & Rain Beredo Letterer: Clayton Cowles The Rebel Alliance is on the run from the Galactic Empire following the battle of Hoth. However, Commander Zahra, of the Empire, has broken rebel security codes and will stop at nothing to hunt them down and destroy them once and for all. The Rebels have undergone a daring mission to steal an ancient protocol droid from the Imperial Museum in hopes to create a new code using an ancient language that only this droid knows. By creating this code, they hope that they might be able to safely r eunite their scattered fleet and rejoin the fight. However, things don’t go to plan as the Rebels run into TECHNICAL difficulties. I’m really enjoying this story arc so far. I love the added insight from this point in time in Star Wars history. It’s interesting seeing Threepio in a larger role. The Rebels playing off his plan is an interesting dynamic. The side plot with Lando leaking information to Jabba was something I wasn’t expecting and I look forward to seeing how it plays out. Additionally, seeing the interactions between Poe Dameron’s parents is definitely a great tie in. They are becoming a bigger part of the story which is pretty cool. I love the artwork in this issue which has been consistent throughout this run. This cover is awesome as well! I look forward to the best issue.
