Spider-Woman #15

With Marvel's recent decisions around some of their female heroes (yes, I am still bitter!), I am a tad surprised that they have kept the faith with Spider-Woman. The mix of life issues and superheroes is a staple of old school Spider-Man books and it is good to see that this element of storytelling has not fallen by the wayside. Spider-Woman #15 encompasses the action, emotion, and plot development that every superhero comic should have. With Dennis Hopeless' emotive writing and Veronica Fish's animated artwork, this issue is exciting and promises a strong end to this strong series. Read Full Review

It's hard to describe Spider-Woman #15 without too many spoilers, but if you thought the death of the Porcupine had a lump in your throat, seeing the tender interlude at the end of this book is well worth the price of admission. Read Full Review

Another great issue that never seems to slow down. There are great character moments and more of Spider-Woman kicking butt. Dennis Hopeless continues to provide the perfect amount of action, comedy, and drama that'll keep you locked into the story telling. Just when you think things are looking up for Spider-Woman, you're knocked back down a few pegs. One of the best ongoing Marvel series that should be on everyone's radar!  Read Full Review

The Spider-Woman vs. Hobgoblin showdown is set up around an epically satisfying romantic moment. I fully recognize that this issue comes with exceptionally lazy plotting and some highly-questionable art. I bumped its rating up because I have had some great Fall-In-Love Moments with Jess Drew in this title and so seeing her romantic life come together is a real treat.
