The creative team for this story is absolutely stellar, and each of their talents are uniquely put to use to set up an issue which helps Roger and Jess shine, both narratively and artistically, and that deepens their relationship without relying on common tropes of motherhood and relationships between men and women. Spider-Woman and friends spending a day at the beach is a perfect representation of why this comic is so good. Hopeless is telling a story about the life of his protagonist, not just the superhero adventures she gets into, and that makes all the difference in the world. Read Full Review

Spider-Woman is a relaxing sort of series that allows you to smirk as you enjoy the lighter moments of superherodom. This issue delivers a good one-shot tale that shows us a "day off" for superheroes. Read Full Review

If you're looking for the next big storyline or event, this issue will do nothing for you. That said, if you've been reading Spider-Woman for awhile, you know that isn't what makes the book special, and issue #12 just continues to build upon its already entertaining foundation. Read Full Review
