Multiversity Comics - James Johnston
Jan 16, 2015In addition to the three aforementioned stories there's two mini-stories from Dan Slott, Ty Templeton, and Kris Anka. They're adorable, especially Anka's about a video game Spidey facing off against a digital Morlun. What's even more interesting, however, is the story about two similar Spider-Men trying to determine what sets them apart. It's clever, and a nice way to acknowledge that the "infinite universes" idea means that not every Spider-Man is going to be a Captain Britain or Spider-Ham. It's a really witty side-story that would just feel distracting in the main series, but seems perfectly in place here. Read Full Review

Jan 14, 2015A novelty it may be, but its a great one that manages to evoke a ton of emotion for some of these characters. Whether its righteous fury with punk-rock Spidey, a knowing chuckle at any of the more referential stories or the satisfaction of a trick well executed, the stories accomplish what they set out to do. If I could get one book with Lady Spider, Spider-Punk, Fruit Pie Spidey, Newspaper Strip Spider-Man, and Video Game Spider-Man, I'd have one really good issue of Spider-Verse that I' gladly pay five bucks for. I hear people complaining about the lack of story progression in this issue, but I think you guys should consider the content more than your need for adventure. What you will read here is something definitely out of the ordinary (and this is definitely a good premise), not entirely written by Dan Slott (thank god!) and filled with spider-madness, something the main series have been missing for a while now. Each story is interesting in its own way, particularly the punk-rock one, with a very hardcore style and writing. I think this anthology could become a funny regular with the right creative teams. And don't forget the memorable tale in Spanish! :O

Eh. Nothing really here to tie-in to the arc. I did like the last story though with the black suit Spidey
