  To be fair, it's not really bad, but it has tons of weird decisions. First of all, you might think it was the main 616 continuity, but it's not. It has 4 big enough stories for one issue, but they weren't as good as they could be. The first one about Goblin was okay, but then you have 2 stories about Kraven, like one wasn't enough. The first Kraven story was chaotic and dumb. I could barely see why it needed Fantastic Four and other Spider-Man villains who were there purely for the purpose of making F4 busy... Also it has a modern day remake of ASM #13 with the first appearance of Mysterio, but it's really exactly the same story as the original one, just with smarphones and without Stan Lee's dialogues. I'm fine with such remakes, it's not completely pointless, but we already had a much better remake in Marvel Age Spider-Man, that came out in early two thousands... So all in all I think Spider-Man Spectacular is a rather unnecessary read. But it had interesting aunt May moments in the first two stories. And the last Kraven story was okay. Although I couldn't stop thinking it was Marvel Adventures Spider-Man. more
