Spider-Gwen #6

By now it should be no secret that Spider-Gwen is a great character worth every fan's time. What's next for Gwen Stacy? Following this arc, Spider-Gwen writer Jason Latour will release a series alongside Silk writer Robbie Thomas and Spider-Woman writer Dennis Hopeless in Marvel's Spider-Women. Excited? For this writer, the answer is obviously" sorta. While the continuation of Spider-Gwen is well-deserved, and the prospect of her teaming up with the other Spider-women again can make for a fun book, I'd be disingenuous not to mention worry about a team of all dudes writing a team of all women, yet again. Especially after the many problems I've had with more somewhat recent writing of Spider-Woman. However, giving the series the benefit of the doubt I'm excited for what comes next for Gwen Stacy's adventures. So far they've been a wonderfully fun ride. Read Full Review

RADIOACTIVE SPIDER-GWEN #6 is a really strong issue. It gives the "Greater Power" a very satisfactory, yet unexpected conclusion. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who dropped the title after it's slow All New, All Different Marvel beginning. Read Full Review

Poignant character moments and exciting fight sequences make up the bulk of Spider-Gwen #6, finally lifting the shadow of Peter Parker's death from Gwen Stacy's life. Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez have successfully refreshed the core tenets of Spider-Man to create a unique new universe of characters that, although positively ancient, feel brand-new. All in all, Spider-Gwen #6 is a fitting conclusion to an absorbing story arc. Read Full Review

There's a lot to enjoy both visually and thematically with Spider-Gwen #6, but you have to be willing to look a bit more closely. It might be frustrating when every dot isn't connected, but this remains a smart and clever book that shines new light on the familiar themes of power and responsibility. Read Full Review
