FINALLY!! As a Spider Gwen fan from day 1, I have been excited since the announcement of Gwenom. And I was not disappointed. Its interesting to me how the Symbiote is not the Symbiote Spiderman fans know but a hybrid creation. Its also been hard to watch Gwen fall apart mentally over her being not as in control as she has wanted to be since becoming Spider Gwen. To see her finally have a moment of clarity, as short lived as it was, turned away from the Anxtiey Gwen that she has become. But more importantly, just to SEE her lose control was not as hurtful as I was afraid it was going to be. Jason has done a fantastic job of transitioning her to this new form. Also, the artwork by Rodriguez does not disappoint, not just in her new outfit but in each panel from a fight scene to standard dialogue. Read Full Review

This series is of course worth sticking around to find out. It would be worth the time alone to see the creative art directions Rodriguez and Renzi can take with this new spin on Venom. Spider-Gwen #24 did an excellent job ending the "Predators" and transitioning into the upcoming Venom arc. Jason Latour made this version of the Venom Symbiote into an intriguing wild card element for this series and how it impacts the rest of this series will be fun to see. Latour's story is made stronger thanks to Rodriguez delivering strong artwork that made each moment in Spider-Gwen #24 even more impactful. Read Full Review

As much fun as it is to visit the alternate world of Spider-Gwen, this series and its title character have always owed a debt to the sharply designed costume of the title character. The new "Gwenom" costume of Gwen Stacy with the Venom symbiote also turns out to be a home run in this issue, as Gwen finally goes dark. Read Full Review

After last months issue, this feels like one step forwards, four steps back. Still, Gwenom looks rad and Id be lying if I said I wasnt excited to see where this leads. Whether it disappoints me or not thats a whole 'nother story. Read Full Review

Gwenom is released at last after a surprising, exciting fakeout possession. The large-scale plot developments are tremendously satisfying, as is Robbi Rodriguez's art. There's a lot of action rendered with great vitality, and the debut of the Gwenom design proves to be worth waiting for. There are a few technical questions about the mechanics of this universe's Venom that are either unanswered or poorly explained, but Gwen's Venom saga is a long way from finished.
