  Unfortunately, this issue is cut short, as, I guess, Garney's behind on the art (again, according to rumors online). Regardless of the reason, there's also a back-up story included in this issue, but it's really not very interesting. I suppose it has the potential to grow into something better. For now, though, it seems more like filler than anything else. At least it has Butch Guice doing the art, so it looks great. It would just be better if there was some sort of actual narrative goal in sight beyond just calling it "Part One." Read Full Review

  The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren

  It's entertaining, but only from a fantasy fan's viewpoint. There's little to no actual Hulk, Planet Hulk, Sakaar or Son of Hulk story here. In fact, if you didn't know this book was about the son of the Hulk, you'd be wondering why Marvel was publishing a Conan knock off. Read Full Review

  The backup story looks a bit better, but all it really does is recount Planet Hulk from the viewpoint of the slaves. Pak really should have taken those extra pages and added some story material that would make me care about Skaar. I want to. I'd like to be able to enjoy a Hulk-related book these days (not counting Incredible Herc, of course). However, it seems as if that's not in the cards for a while. Read Full Review

  Weekly Comic Book Review - J. Montes

  I don't know what's going on over at Marvel, but if the lateness is going to continue I'd rather the powers at be just cancel the book. As much as I want to like this book, there's too much going against it to make me want to continue buying it. Art that's hampered by the non-presence of an inker and 14 pages of story? I'd rather put my money on a title that's more timely. Besides, I can get this same fantasy element from Conan. So really guys, what's the point? Read Full Review
