The plot barrels forward, but in an expository fashion. There's not a lot of room for character work. On the plus side, Ig Guara is going happily bananas with the pirate and demon art. Combine that with the fast pace and rising tension, and you have an issue that stays on the high side of "good comic." It helps that the series is maintaining a consistent "what happens next" intrigue--for me, anyway.

I'm enjoying the adventure. Nothing ground breaking but pretty fun.

I really like Silk. I want this to be good. It is not bad, but it lacks something to draw you in. The concept is cool but not enough time is spent on it and diluted by the brother. The brother side-plot has essentially become the main plot and this feels less like a Silk book and more like 'Silks brother + Wong book". I didnt pay to read about her brother and Wong. Honestly this book is a 6 but I gave it a 6.5 as I like the Silk fights. Those are at least cool.
