Shadowland #5

"Shadowland" was an almost intimate event, compared to some of the massive, sprawling events of the recent (and current) past, and its story was intimate as well. At the heart of "Shadowland," Diggle gave us a story of one man's struggle for self, a story we've seen in comics time and again. This time, however the story disappointed me with its predictability. Closing the back cover left me with a story that is largely forgettable, save for some minor conflicts and passing character bits. Truly, with the conclusion of this issue, it feels as though Daredevil has run its course, and I find myself quite apathetic regarding what might be in the immediate future of this little corner of the comic book world. The art is kinda sick but this was a forgettable event. I'm not mad I read it cuz the fights were cool but damn there was 0 character development and not great writing. And what was the "secret fourth personality" shit at the end??😭😭

read this in quarantine... i feel like i just tested positive for covid. the only redeeming factor of this series is the art which is still not amazing but it wasnt terrible. wikipedia this story and skip to waids run
