  It may shock people to say I'm missing Norman Osborn. I feel like this title had a more defined purpose during Dark Reign and its immediate aftermath. It's still quite well-written and exceptionally well-drawn, but without a governmental foe for these Secret Warriors to rebel against, it's getting harder to sum up this book succinctly. Now that such a drastic move has been taken, though, I'm eager to see how "Night" will unfold over the coming installments. Read Full Review

  It's difficult to discuss Secret Warriors #20, and my utter disappointment with the issue, without repeatedly coming back to Colak's art. A better artist might have managed to make Hickman's story feel more substantial and less rushed. But because Colak's panels fail to command attention, because most can be appreciated with little more than a quick glimpse (the exception being the panels that are difficult to understand), the book speeds along rapidly until the underwhelming final panel. This is not the grand send-off I expected from Hickman's espionage opus. How disappointing. Read Full Review

  The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren

  I'm tempted to say avoid it, but there's a lot of important things that are told in this issue that you will need to know moving forward if you have any desire to follow along. However, it was like reading a Wikipedia entry as Nick Fury recaps events and then tells us how they will attack a Hydra base. A huge stepdown in art from Caselli and Vitti combines with the other problems to make for a subpar issue of what has been one of my favourite books over the past year or two. Read Full Review

  As much as I am tempted to complain, however, this is still an issue of Secret Warriors and it contains pieces of story that are no doubt integral to the outcome of this years long epic. If Hickman has failed to live up to anyones standard, it has been his own. The problem with continually upping the ante is that youre now on the hook for calling the bets. Read Full Review
