However, despite these flaws, this issue really wasn't that bad. With the story entertaining enough, the issue just seemed a little too stretched out, with too much going on and not enough focus on the moments that matter. Despite all that, I'm still left excited, as the final page really looks to set up a great conclusion. "Secret Invasion: Thor" #2 is little more than an extended fight scene, but it has enough humanity to add a meaningful subtext to the bombast. It's a "Secret Invasion" story, but it's a good one, continuing the noble rebirth of Marvel's favorite hammer-wielding god. Read Full Review

As ridiculous as it sounds, even if you're really into Thor you could ostensibly skip this issue, only read issues #1 and #3, and still get the full story. Despite its minor charms here and there, it's really a fluff installment of a minor tie-in. Read Full Review
